Operator service

SIM Hosting GSM for your phone system

We host your SIM cards in dedicated equipment in our own data centre and connect them to your phone system, so mobile numbers can be managed from your company's call flow.

In short. SIM Hosting moves your GSM SIM cards into a gateway hosted at Blureon. Mobile numbers can be integrated into your phone system as call lines, with routing, queues and call recording. Messaging options are confirmed for each configuration individually.

Benefits

What you get

Your own mobile numbers

You keep your current SIM cards and subscriptions. We host them physically in a GSM gateway.

Mobile, as a line in your phone system

Mobile numbers enter your phone system as call lines: you can route them, record them and put them in queues.

SMS and messaging

SMS and messaging features are enabled in compatible configurations and subject to the providers' conditions.

Checked compatibility

We check compatibility for Orange, Vodafone, Telekom and Digi SIM cards before activation.

Calls on the mobile network

Calls to mobile numbers can go out over the SIM, so they use the minutes included in your subscription.

Professional hosting

The equipment is hosted in our own data centre, with controlled access. We explain what redundancy measures are included in the configuration you choose.

How it is charged

No installation fee, no activation costs and no minimum contract period.

The rate card depends on how many SIM cards are hosted, so we send it after a short conversation — within the same working day.

Technical details

How SIM Hosting GSM works

Blureon SIM Hosting places the client's SIM cards in GSM gateways hosted in our own data centre. Each SIM card is exposed to the phone system — Asterisk, FreePBX or Blureon PBX — as a GSM channel, so the mobile number becomes a routable line: it can receive calls through voice menus and queues, can be recorded, and can place calls that go out over the mobile network, using the minutes in the client's subscription. SMS and messaging features depend on the SIM card's operator and on the configuration chosen; their availability is confirmed for each deployment individually, before activation. Compatibility is checked for Orange, Vodafone, Telekom and Digi SIM cards. The hosting infrastructure includes monitoring the status of each GSM channel and controlled physical access; the redundancy measures included are set according to the contracted configuration. Capacity is sized to the number of SIM cards, from a single card to dozens. The service is useful for companies that want to bring mobile numbers into their phone system's call flow and reduce the cost of calls to mobile networks.

For integrators

We host your clients’ SIM cards in the same gateway, on separate sub-accounts, invoiced to you.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is SIM Hosting GSM?

It is the service through which your SIM cards are physically hosted in a GSM gateway in the Blureon data centre and connected to your phone system. Your mobile numbers can be managed from your phone system, without keeping the phones at the office.

Which operators does it work with?

We check compatibility for Orange, Vodafone, Telekom and Digi SIM cards before activation. You use the same subscriptions, rates and minutes you already have.

Can I send SMS from my mobile number?

SMS and messaging features are only enabled in compatible configurations and subject to the providers' conditions. We confirm what is available for your SIM cards and operators before activation.

Why would I use SIM Hosting instead of keeping the phones at the office?

Mobile numbers become part of your company's call flow: they can be routed, recorded and placed in call queues, and calls to mobile numbers can go out over the SIM, using the minutes in your subscription. You no longer depend on physical phones left around the office.

Do I keep my current subscriptions?

Yes. The SIM cards remain yours, with your subscriptions. We host them and connect them to your phone system.

Are calls to mobiles cheaper?

Calls to mobile networks can go out directly over the hosted SIM card, so they use the minutes and rates included in your mobile subscription. How much you save depends on your subscription and your traffic to mobile numbers.

How many SIM cards can you host?

From a single SIM card to dozens, depending on your needs. We size the gateway accordingly.

How are the SIM cards and traffic protected?

The SIM cards sit in our data centre, in an environment with controlled access, and traffic to your phone system is secured. We explain what redundancy measures are included in the configuration you choose.
