FAQ

Frequently asked questions about operator services

What is a SIP trunk?

It is a virtual phone line that connects your company phone system to the public telephone network over the internet, instead of physical ISDN or analogue lines. It allows several simultaneous calls on the same connection, with a cost model that can be a better fit for your volume.

Which phone systems does it work with?

With phone systems that use standard SIP: Asterisk, FreePBX, 3CX, Yeastar, Grandstream, Blureon PBX and others. We give you the configuration parameters for your phone system and check compatibility before activation.

What is a DID number?

DID (Direct Inward Dialing) is a public phone number delivered directly to your phone system over SIP, without a separate physical line for each number. You can have several numbers on the same trunk.

What does number porting mean?

Porting moves your phone number from your current operator to Blureon, keeping exactly the same number. It is a right set out in the regulations on number portability.

How long does a porting take?

The timeline depends on the type of numbers, the documents available and the porting timetable agreed between operators. We confirm it after reviewing your case.

What is SIM Hosting GSM?

It is the service through which your SIM cards are physically hosted in a GSM gateway in the Blureon data centre and connected to your phone system. Your mobile numbers can be managed from your phone system, without keeping the phones at the office.
